Software removes unwanted elements in digital photos

Plug-in AKVIS Stamp v3.0 for Mac and Win provides healing tool for removal of wrinkles, scars, scratches, and pores from digital portraits, and performs seamless cloning in photos without hand-blending. It adjusts patches to color range, texture, and brightness of target background. When cloning large fragments, program will not fuse cloned area with background until edit mode is deactivated. User can undo and re-do as many times as needed.

AKVIS LLC announces the release of AKVIS Stamp V.3.0 for Mac and Win, a healing/cloning plug-in that does miracles. New to version 3.0: Undo feature, Macintosh support.

AKVIS Stamp is more than a cloning tool. Conceived as a healing tool for removing unwanted elements in digital photos, it does it work brilliantly. It automatically adjusts "patches" to the color range, texture and brightness of the target background. With a simple user interface and minimal steps to follow, AKVIS Stamp is a versatile healing tool for removal of wrinkles, scars, scratches and pores from digital portraits, and it performs seamless cloning in photos without the tedium of hand-blending.

New to the version is the long-awaited Undo feature. Earlier it was possible to cancel only the last action, now it's a full-functional command that allows you to undo and re-do as many steps in a row as you want.

A creative mind can do miracles with the plug-in, as the software is able to clone objects and adjust them to the new background in such a way, that they get an artistic effect.

The unique Edit Mode of the plug-in helps to clone large fragments. Users of the newer releases of Adobe Photoshop (starting with v.7) have a similar tool - Healing Brush - at their disposal, but the unique Edit Mode of AKVIS Stamp makes this plug-in yet more handy and powerful. It gives more flexibility with the large fragments cloning. When cloning fragments it will not fuse the cloned area with the background until the Edit Mode is deactivated, allowing multiple revisions such as changing the size of the stamp, indicating another source for cloning, making clones out of different parts of the image. Thus, AKVIS Stamp adds a superior healing tool to Corel (Jasc) Paint Shop Pro, Corel Photo-Paint, Ulead PhotoImpact, ACD FotoCanvas, Microsoft Digital Image Suite, Picture Publisher Pro and to the earlier versions of Adobe Photoshop.

AKVIS Stamp runs on Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/NT and now it is also available for Macintosh OS X.

AKVIS Stamp sells for $49.00 USD, but is also available as part of the AKVIS Restoration Bundle, packaged with AKVIS Retoucher, an $87.00 USD value. AKVIS Restoration Bundle sells for only $109.00 USD, saving $27.00 USD over buying each plug-in separately. From now on one license allows activating the software on two computers, for example, on a desktop and on a laptop.

For a free trial, AKVIS offers 10 days to play with the fully functional program. The users who tried the previous version of the plug-in and have their version expired, now have the opportunity to test the software again. Registered users can upgrade Stamp to V.3.0 for free.
